I love Arithmetic, next to History it was my favorite subject in school, I just didn’t realize it until I got out of school!


Math is a neat science, how numbers go together, I love the logic in math, thank you Mr. Ford and Geometry! In his class I learned about logic puzzles and the DLA, (Doofus Liberation Army-another blog topic-when brilliant minds are slightly insane)

And yes, math even plays a part in NASCAR; the scoring system; so complicated. The powers that be came up with the newest “system” for calculating how the races would be scored, there are points for leading a lap, for leading the most laps, for the coolest paint scheme, (ok, not really and I shouldn’t give TPTB any ideas) but it’s kinda complicated and the points don’t make any sense, I mean WTF? 190 points for first and 34 points for last? Where did they come up with that?? I have my own point system and it’s amazing how close it has been to this convoluted mess that NASCAR came up with, it’s simple, 43 cars in a race, you win you get 43 points, don’t care if you lead a lap or not, you come in last you get 1 point. And I am mean, no chase, you race you win that’s all there is too it and I was still close, I actually think most of the fans would have liked my system, I know for a fact that in 2008 Carl Edwards would have loved my system, he came out on top and in 2009 Jeff Gordon narrowly nudged out Tony Stewart, making another year that Jimmie Johnson would not have one a championship. And even now my top 12 is fairly close to the actual top 12.

Yeah, Talladega shuffled things just a tiny bit more then I would have liked but it’s only the 9th race of the season, plenty of time for the cream to rise to the top!!
