Last Christmas 2 of my brothers gave me gift cards, one for Amazon and one good anywhere. I finally decided to use them to get myself a Kindle. My mother wasn't interested, she loves the feel of the pages of a book and to be honest never discussed it with Pops who always seems to be reading a book or newspaper that is when he's not looking at videos on Youtube!
Circumstances lead to me getting a new Kindle for Christmas (my original Kindle was taken from my office at work before Thanksgiving and found a few weeks after Christmas in another office) and by that time my mother had gotten intrigued by the Kindle and got one and then Pops decided he'd like to try the Kindle and I gave him my old one.
It is so much fun watching the parentals and their Kindles, Pops is downloading books, Mom is debating on getting a Vera Bradley Tech Bag for hers! Now when they go to their doctors appointments they are just like the rest in the waiting room reading their Kindles!
