The drought is just about over

Yeah! Racing Season is about to begin! Next weekend I will be very very happy!

Beginning on Valentines Day SPEED TV will start broadcasting 11 days of NASCAR! Starting with  a special two-hour edition of NASCAR Race Hub from Media Day. 

Practice beings on Friday, Feb. 15th. The Sprint Unlimited will air Feb 16th- this is the Race formerly called the Bud Shoot Out, but Sprint took over sponsorship of this race and who knows what the actual format will be, we should hear about that on the 14th. Feb 17 is qualifying for the 500 which is February 24th.

I know many of my friends don't "get" NASCAR or my "obsession" with this sport, yes it is a sport; even Hemingway, yes that Hemingway, Ernest is quoted as having said,“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.” There is so much more to NASCAR then just cars going around in a circle, don't get me started because there are no circular race tracks in the sport. It's a team effort, it's emotional, it's rivalries, it's history, it's a new car, it's old drivers in new places...
