My brain is still on overload but I'm going to try and get in touch with some of my characters, I miss Emmy and Riley...

Maybe the plot bunny will jump out of the rabbit hole with the white rabbit...

As a new week begins I am taking time to reflect on the week just ending...

A new year has begun and it wasn't smooth or without problems; but by weeks end the earlier issues were under control and new "problems" surfaced in the face of a cream colored tom cat named Gus and a nasty abscess on his chest, let's just say the Gus loves being an outdoor cat free to do as he pleases and a mini satellite dish around his neck is not his idea of fun!

Spent the afternoon watching the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Les Miserables. All I can say is wow! Never been a big fan of Russell Crowe but he was great, Hugh Jackman was wonderful. The casting was perfect.

I've said before I don't make resolutions but I'm going to try and make some attainable goals in various areas of my life...stay tuned...

It doesn't get much better than having a wonderful family! Soon this picture will change as my oldest niece Laura becomes a mother!

first Friday, day 4 of 365

another uneventful yet frustating day at work, and yes, I smiled and kept my positive attitude, I was helpful and kind, I only vented in the safety of a supervisors office!

I saw my first Chevy SS up close, boy howdy do I like the look of that car!!! Can not wait to see it on the track at Daytona in 50 days!!!!

I left work feeling angry and frustrated; nothing new but I've been attempting to cultivate a better attitude, to send out positive-ness, you know the whole send out what you want to get back. I sat in my car and pulled out  my Kindle and found the free downloaded copy of the Bible. I wasn't sure where I wanted to go, if I had one of my "book" copies I do the old random page thing and find my answer. Since that was not possible I did the next best thing I clicked on the "View Popular Highlights", the first verse I read was "I can do all things through him who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13, I "turned" the page and saw, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him. Proverbs 3:5. Put my day into a new perspective, I drove home with a much lighter heart.

day 2 of 365!!!

Yesterday I was watching “Hello Dolly” one of my favorite musicals starring one of my favorite actresses, Barbra Streisand, directed by the best ever Gene Kelly. There is a song, “It only takes a moment”, I heard that and remembered my God wink from yesterday and remembered the first time I saw him, it only took a moment.


On my way to work early this morning I started listening to the book Fever Dreams by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, I had to laugh, there is a red-headed man named Weasley in the beginning of the book! I love when the books I read pay homage to each other whether on purpose or not!

Have to be honest, it feels good to be "blogging" again. No promises but theres more to come!

Happy 2013

Today is the first day of the rest of my life, yes I’ve said that before but it’s so true. This is an everyday mantra not just for the beginning of the month or new year.

I’ve encountered so many wonderful people in my life; women who have inspired me, sisters of my heart, I am so blessed.

Not going to make any resolutions or promises but I’m going to attempt to do more, more exercises, making “more” better choices, more giving; not giving of things, I don’t have those to give but giving of love, time and energy.

I control my destiny, my life and my life choices. I choose to be happy and filled with bliss, this will not be easy as so many things I don’t control and people I can’t control with try to bring me down, not out of spite but just because they do not know any better.

So to this new year I say, 2013, bring it on.

it always happens; just when I am about to say find a new dream, I get a "God Wink", a tiny reminder that I am on the right path. It seems very right that I got a wink today on the first day of the new year. I am so grateful for those winks whenever I get them.
