The trouble with Harry....
Yes, on Saturday a little boy joined my family that for years had been a girls only home...

is 2 days too soon?
I knew it was a mistake to walk into PetCo...my mother had been there earlier today to get my canine sister Chloe some cookies. She told me about Harry, 3 months old, black and white and a noisy little guy. He is all that but I don't know if he is what I need right now.
If it's meant to be it will be...and it will be ok with Rascal...

wow, 2015
can't believe I haven't blogged in almost 2 years, so much has happened....
As I begin this new year sans cats. Sweet Pea died during my stay at my parents when I dislocated my hip in 2013, Rascal died yesterday; she waited for me to get to Lakeland to my parents house where she and my porkie yorkie were staying during my short work week. The Tuesday before Christmas she attempted to jump back onto my bed and missed her footing injuring her back legs, the bathtub became her playpen. At the age of 15 she mostly slept so it was no big deal to her. There were several moments from Christmas until last Sunday that I thought she was done but she held on. My mother greeted me at the front door; telling me how Rascal was the first one in the kitchen for breakfast that morning and she ate a big meal. I found her bright and mewing for me, I sat down with her and she talked to me, I gave her her favorite soft treats, she ate one or two and I looked away. Her little body went limp and soon she was gone. She waited for me to say good bye. My two girls are buried just beyond the bedroom window near a Plumeria tree...don't know if I'll be able to sleep without her purring in my ear...
I started a new job on December 8th in the private sector. Nice people and much better pay than the state of Florida...can't wait for the time change so I can get all my steps in.
Resolved to do so many things, I'll let you know if I succeed.

dislocated and out of sorts
What is that quote? The best laid plans.....and something about going astray....
yeah, well Thursday morning that's what happened to me...I fell and dislocated my right hip. Boy oh boy does that hurt, I had horrible spasms, landing myself in an ER on Valentines Day is not my idea of fun.
This has thrown my whole life upside down and it's hard getting back into my regular routine. Maybe this will inspire some new and different blogs but only time will tell..

To blog or not to blog...
Decisions, decisions....as hard as I try I can not do two things at once....so my blogging may have to suffer that is unless I can get ahead...yeah right...
I'm trying to re-write a story when I suddenly remember I need to post a quote, be grateful-which is actually very easy, and then come here and blog.
Of course what doesn't help are all the books; fiction and non fiction, that I am currently reading...I want to do so much and there are not enough hours in the day...
Stay tuned to see if I can pull this off...
